Volvo Penta completed the comprehensive upgrade and market promotion of its G17 power generation gas engine in mid-2026, further enriching its low-carbon power equipment product matrix. Built on the mature heavy-duty D17 engine platform, the 17-liter six-cylinder spark-ignition G17 engine supports dual operation of standard pipeline natural gas and renewable natural gas, helping industrial and commercial users significantly reduce carbon footprint while maintaining stable power output.

The upgraded G17 generator set retains Volvo’s classic high-temperature resistance and high-altitude adaptive advantages. It can maintain full-load stable operation in an ambient temperature of over 50°C and effectively avoid power attenuation in high-altitude low-oxygen environments.
