Volvo Penta, a premium power brand under Volvo Group, continues to expand its market share across Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, with a large batch of D8, D13 and D16 series diesel generator sets delivered to local universities, hospitals, water treatment plants and industrial parks in the first half of 2026.
All Volvo Penta generator sets are equipped with original Swedish industrial diesel engines and 100% full copper brushless alternators. The full-copper winding design effectively reduces temperature rise and power loss, delivering stable voltage output and extending the whole unit’s service life significantly. Volvo engines adopt advanced electronic fuel injection technology, featuring low fuel consumption, low vibration and ultra-low noise, which perfectly fits long-time standby and continuous prime power operation.
Every complete genset is fully assembled and undergoes strict full-load testing before leaving the factory. Customers can choose open-frame or silent canopy structure, and optional automatic parallel system for synchronous operation of multiple units. No complicated on-site installation or commissioning work is required after arrival, saving clients extra labor and construction costs.
Volvo Penta’s engine lineup covers power range from 80kW to 700kW, fully complying with international emission standards including EU Stage V. With a global complete service network and localized spare parts warehouses in North Africa, local customers can access rapid maintenance support and genuine original spare parts supply within 48 hours.
“Our core advantage lies in integrated reliability and full lifecycle economy,” said the regional sales manager of Volvo Penta for MENA. “For public and industrial projects in North Africa that demand uninterrupted power supply, Volvo gensets cut long-term maintenance expenses and avoid costly power outage losses, bringing greater comprehensive value despite moderate upfront investment.”
